Never forget. 2,996 Americans were murdered on 9/11, over 1,400 rescue workers who responded to the scene after the attacks have since died. 2,461 U.S. service members were killed and more than 20,000 wounded defending our freedom. It is because of these brave fighting Americans that we have avoided a terrorist attack on our soil these past 20 years. The threat still exists.
