This has been official for a little while, but I’m so happy to finally share it here!

I am incredibly honored to serve as the new President of the Jewish Lawyers Association of Palm Beach County.

This organization and the people in it mean so much to me. I’m grateful for the opportunity to take on this leadership role, continue building connections within our legal community, and support an organization I’m truly proud to be part of.

I’m excited for everything ahead and all that we’ll accomplish together.

Here’s to a meaningful year of leadership, connection, and community.

One of the hardest parts of family law isn't always the legal process. It's the emotional toll that comes with it.

It's normal to feel anxious, frustrated, or uncertain. But it's also important to remember that you don't have to carry every burden on your own. Lean on the people you trust, focus on the next right step instead of every possible outcome, and give yourself the same compassion you would offer someone you love.

Protecting your peace doesn't mean you aren't taking your case seriously. It means you're taking care of yourself while moving through it. 💜

Trust isn't built on promises. It's built on patterns.

One of the biggest mistakes I see people make is confusing hope with consistency.
When you're invested in your marriage, it's natural to hope the next conversation will be different. That this time they'll follow through. That this small change means things are finally getting better.
But hope can sometimes make us overlook what's actually happening.

Real trust is built through consistent actions over time, not occasional moments that give you a glimpse of the relationship you wish you had. Pay attention to how someone shows up day after day, how they communicate, and whether their actions match their words.

If you find yourself holding onto potential more than reality, it may be time to ask whether you're trusting the person in front of you or the version you're hoping they'll become.

I’m honored to share that I’ve been selected by my peers for inclusion in the 33rd edition of the Best Lawyers in America® for Family Law.

This is my first recognition by , which makes it especially meaningful. Because this distinction is based entirely on peer review, I’m incredibly grateful for the confidence and respect of fellow members of the legal community.

Family law is deeply personal work. It requires not only knowledge and preparation, but also an understanding of the people, families, and complex circumstances behind every case.

I’m grateful to my colleagues, clients, and everyone who has been part of this journey. It’s an honor to have this work recognized.

For women who are the primary breadwinners, the idea of paying alimony can feel incredibly frustrating.

I hear it all the time.

Many women have worked hard to build successful careers, and when divorce enters the picture, it can be difficult to accept that they may have a financial obligation to their spouse.

But family law doesn't look at who you expected to support. It looks at the facts of your marriage and the law that applies to your situation.

One of my jobs as a divorce attorney is to help clients understand both sides of the table. That perspective doesn't always make the outcome easier, but it helps you make informed decisions and set realistic expectations throughout the process.

And here's something I always remind my clients: if you've built a successful career and created financial stability, that's still something to be proud of. Divorce may change how assets and support are handled, but it doesn't take away everything you've accomplished.

Have you noticed more women becoming the primary earners in their marriages?

There are always two sides to every story... and sometimes a few secrets in between. Every case is unique, but one thing remains the same: honesty, preparation, and understanding the full picture can make all the difference.

Can you successfully co-parent with someone who has narcissistic traits?

The answer isn't a simple yes or no. It's maybe.

The reality is that many people display narcissistic traits without having a clinical diagnosis. If you're co-parenting with someone like that, the goal isn't to change them. It's to understand how they operate so you can protect your peace and make decisions that keep your children at the center.

One of the most important tools is having a strong parenting plan. It's designed around what's in your children's best interests, not around one parent's personality. And when communication is difficult, using a court-approved parenting app can help keep conversations focused, documented, and productive.

Co-parenting with someone who has narcissistic tendencies is often more challenging, but it isn't impossible. The key is setting clear boundaries, staying consistent, and avoiding unnecessary conflict whenever you can.

Have you found that boundaries or communication tools make the biggest difference when co-parenting?

One of the biggest communication mistakes I see couples make isn't that they aren't talking. It's that they're communicating their expectations instead of their feelings.

There's a big difference.

When you say things like, "You need to do this," or "I want you to change," the other person often hears criticism or feels like they're being told what to do.

But when you lead with, "I feel..." or "I need...," you're inviting your partner to understand your experience instead of putting them on the defensive.

I've seen firsthand, both inside and outside the courtroom, how communication breakdowns are often at the heart of a failing marriage. Learning how to express your feelings instead of just your expectations can completely change the conversation.

Do you think couples today struggle more with communicating their feelings or communicating their expectations?

One of the biggest misconceptions about divorce is that one person is always to blame.

As a divorce attorney, I've seen enough cases to know it's rarely that simple.

Yes, under Florida law, one person can file for divorce. But that doesn't mean only one person is responsible for how the marriage got there.

Healthy marriages require two people who are willing to communicate, work through challenges, and grow together. When that stops happening, the relationship begins to break down long before anyone walks into a divorce attorney's office.

Not every divorce is preventable. Sometimes ending the marriage is the healthiest path forward. But if there's one lesson I've learned after years of practicing family law, it's this: relationships don't fall apart overnight, and they almost never fall apart because of just one person.

What are your thoughts? Do you think most divorces are preventable?

Divorce doesn't pause tax season.

One of the biggest surprises for many people is that your marital status on December 31 can determine how you file your taxes for the entire year.

If you're in the middle of a divorce, don't assume your taxes will work the same way they always have.

Your filing status, tax withholding, and overall tax liability could look very different depending on your circumstances.

That's why I always encourage clients to be proactive. Review your withholding, understand your options, and have a conversation with your CPA or tax professional before filing.

A little planning now can help prevent an expensive surprise later.

Every divorce is unique, and tax decisions should never be one-size-fits-all. The more informed you are, the better prepared you'll be to make decisions that protect your financial future.
