For those who are wondering, JB’s Shelter-in-Home Executive Order provides that transfer of children pursuant to a court order is essential travel allowed to occur.

Paragraph 14(e) clearly states that "Essential Travel" includes "travel required by law enforcement or court order, including to transport children pursuant to a custody agreement."

It has been 10 years since I began my own practice. I remain as grateful today as I was then for all those family, friends and colleagues who encouraged, supported and stood by me all this time. I am making a difference. Big changes are in the near future as we relocate our offices and join forces with some amazing people. Looking forward to the next 10 years!

Illinois has experienced major changes to the laws affecting many aspects of Divorce and Paternity Law. Family Law attorneys, like myself, have spent countless hours becoming familiar with the new laws in an effort to best advise our clients. The new tax laws will be no different. Many are predicting that anyone contemplating divorce (where the parties’ incomes are very different from each other) will be pushing to finalize their divorce before the end of 2018.
