City of Pacifica Firefighters

City of Pacifica Firefighters Welcome to the official page of the City of Pacifica Firefighters (Local 2400). Stay informed on the Fire Department's day to day activities!

Since shortly after the city's incorporation in 1957, the Pacifica Fire Department has played an integral role in responding to and mitigating emergency situations, including fires, medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, cliff rescues, and public assists. The Fire Department also plays an active role in Fire Prevention as well as Community Service. The Pacifica Fire Department runs more than 2,50

0 calls a year from its two stations in Pacifica and the surrounding cities of Daly City (to the North) and Half Moon Bay (to the South). Station 71, PFD Headquarters, is located in the north end of town at 616 Edgemar Blvd, and responds to calls from Mussel Rock down to Vallemar. Station 72, located at 1100 Linda Mar Blvd., responds to the district of Vallemar and everywhere south, including the Devil's Slide/ Tom Lantos Tunnel area. In addition to running calls for medical emergencies, fires, vehicle accidents, cliff rescues, and public assists, the Pacifica Fire Department plays an active role in the community, reading to children at the local library, conducting fire safety presentations at local elementary schools, participating in toy drives and fundraisers (like MDA Fill-the-Boot), and doing yearly fire inspections of local businesses to ensure their safety and continuity. This page allows users to get a glimpse inside the every day happenings of the fire department that many are not able to see on a consistent basis, and serve as channel of communication between the general public and the Fire Department. Pacifica Firefighters had the privilege of participating in the first annual fundraiser basketball tournament supporting local youth sports. Prior to the games, our local youth were able to sit down and have a Q and A session with your Pacifica Police Officers and Firefighters. We look forward to being a part of this event for years to come. Thanks for putting this together!

The Pacifica Firefighters Association wants to wish a happy retirement to Laurie Armstrong, one of our beloved San Mateo County 911 dispatchers! Laurie, who’s also a local Pacifican, has been a vital part of the San Mateo County 911 system, and has served the city of Pacifica along with every other city and town in this County for 30 years!
Thank you Laurie for your cool and calm professionalism during some of the most difficult of times, and helping keep the public and our first responders safe.
We Love ya!
Enjoy Retirement.
