I hope you’re all staying safe and practicing social distancing. I do want to advise all my clients that it appears every scheduled court appearance for the next three weeks have been postponed.  We are continuing to move your cases forward but official court hearings will have to wait. Also if you are unable to attend physical therapy, doctors appointments etc., contact your healthcare provider and request some home exercise programs which will assist you in healing.

I have no words. I’ve know Justin since I was eight years old. I’ve had the privilege of serving as his attorney for the last few years. I will continue to hope and pray.

A search is underway for a Bay Area nurse and her friend who disappeared during a plane trip. The two went for a short visit north of Fort Bragg, but never came back.

Just made it onto my 5:05 AM flight to LA... after 45 mins in security. A deposition a few meetings then back to the Bay.

Incredibly saddened to hear of the unexpected passing of Jeff Adachi. We all lost a pillar of the social justice community. I spent almost 2 years of my law school career in his office. He was an intimidating figure, but also had a warmness that and he knew him would feel. Despite all the work on his shoulders, he took time go through so many different aspects of trial, including quite frankly, teaching me how to close. Not to mimic his voice and his approach (which was powerful and sincere)but the find my own closing argument voice. I owe him so much.

Jeff Adachi, public defender for San Francisco, has died.
