"The Dean, Monterey Realtor 🏡🔑 | 40+ yrs exp | Personalized attention, flexible scheduling & expert guidance | Golf, pickleball & family fun! | Let's connect & simplify your real estate journey 🤝 I have been a Realtor since 1982, and I take pride in the many transactions I have facilitated, helping people become successful homeowners and contributors to the community. I attended Walter Colton Juni
or High School and Monterey High School, where I was involved in football, wrestling, and gymnastics. I joined the Fellowship of Christian Athletes through Coach Ken White, and, at the urging of Coach Dan Albert, I ran for and was elected Student Body President of Monterey High School my senior year. I was fortunate to have been mentored by two legendary coaches who went on to become mayors of Carmel (White) and Monterey (Albert). I received an Associate of Arts degree in Business Management from Monterey Peninsula College and studied business at California State University, Sacramento. In 1982, I obtained my real estate license during a time of 17 percent interest rates, but I persevered and became the assistant manager of a 50-person office in my third year, overseeing training. Then, I moved back to the Peninsula in 1997 after my father's passing, and my mother, Marlene, asked me to join her at Shankle Real Estate in Monterey. I am dedicated to my clients and have the experience to help them achieve their real estate goals. I am involved in my community and the real estate community, having served as president of the Monterey County Association of Realtors and as a director for the California Association of Realtors. I serve on the local government relations committee to stay informed of local issues.
