Exciting weekend at the KTCCCA Middle School State Track Championship. Beyond proud of my son, Jackson, and his OMS teammates as they brought the state title back to Owensboro!!! Such a balanced effort with contributions across the board.

JQ helped win the 4x800 title with a state best time of 9:00 (also an OMS record), and a 2nd place finish in the 4x400.

Breakdown -

4x100 (1st)
4x200 (1st)
4x400 (2nd)
4x800 (1st)
Discus - 3rd
Triple Jump - 2nd
High Jump - 4th
Pole Vault - 5th
3200 - 7th
100m/hurdles - 6th

Back to Back to Back Championships is an amazing accomplishment!! Thanks to Coach Tate for letting me “coach” the distance boys this season. Not sure of how much “coaching” I did, but it was an absolute joy to watch their growth and play a small part in their journey.

This past weekend, I was introduced to River, a 4yr old Bluetick Coonhound. This sweet girl is super friendly, house broken, and is great with kids and other animals.

In rememberance of our veterans, my wife, Jaime and I dusted off our running shoes and ran the She’s the V.E.T Run to Remember 5k. Glad to have participated as the money raised goes to such a great cause! Shocked, but somehow managed a medal in the 50-59 year old division. 🇺🇸🫡

The Memorial Gardens Field of Honors service was a terrific yet somber occasion in celebration of the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving our great nation.

This hit different, as it brought back memories of my late father who bravely served his country as an Army medic in the Vietnam War. While he wasn’t killed in the line of fire, he was wounded from gunfire in combat. Those injuries diminished his physical health and ultimately contributed to his passing when I was just a small boy.

I proudly salute all who serve and thank them for their selflessness. 🇺🇸 🫡

Celebrated National Poppy Day at American Legion Owensboro, Ky. The holiday is observed annually on the Friday before Memorial Day to honor fallen service members, support living veterans, and raise funds for military families. It was a beautiful tribute and a subject near to my heart. Thanks to all who attended and American Legion for hosting!!

A special thanks to Ky FOP Owensboro Lodge 16 and Abundant Life Church for hosting the 39th Annual Police Memorial Service. It was a powerful tribute to the men and women who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. Prayers for healing to any and all families/friends personally affected by the loss of a loved one needlessly taken and for the protection of those who continue to serve.
