Tony Hsieh died this past week. He was a visionary who took two tech companies into the stratosphere, the second of which was Zappo's - the online shoe retailer. He was also directly involved in redeveloping downtown Las Vegas over the past decade. Most importantly, Tony was known for making ongoing strides redeveloping the Zappo's workplace so that employees could do their work without regard to traditional corporate hierarchy.

The Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA") celebrates its 30th birthday TODAY, July 26, 2020. To celebrate, here's a quick snapshot of what the ADA mandates: (1) that all covered individuals are entitled to 'reasonable accommodation' for their covered condition(s); and (2) covered individuals are entitled to non-discriminatory/non-retaliatory treatment.

Pretty much any condition for which one sees a health care provider regularly, or is medicated for the same, should be assumed to constitute an ADA-protected health condition. These can include not just physical, but also emotional, health conditions.
