NEWS RELEASE: Beginning Friday, December 26th, 2025, the Olathe Police Department, along with numerous other police agencies across Kansas, will participate in the 2025 Taking Down DUI traffic enforcement campaign. This special traffic enforcement targets impaired driving through enforcement and education. The campaign will conclude on Friday, January 2nd, 2026.

Overland Park, KS (June 25, 2025) – The Overland Park, Kansas Police Department and several Kansas police agencies will be conducting a DUI Check Lane on June 27, 2025. This task is being conducted with the goal to reduce alcohol related auto accidents and discourage impaired driving within our communities.

The Overland Park Police Traffic Safety Unit will hold a briefing at 9:00PM, at the Scafe Police Station, Overland Park, KS, prior to initiating the enforcement.
