​In his practice Gerret helps clients form plans that assist them in preserving assets and remaining independent in the community for as long as this is possible. However, in the event their health declines, it is sometimes not possible for the client to remain safely at home. In these cases, Swearingen Elder Law can also assist clients in preserving the family resources from the high costs of skilled nursing facility care. Often, the goal of preserving resources can be achieved, while likewise insuring that the healthcare needs of the client are met. This allows the client to achieve the best quality of life possible for both themselves and their loved ones, while still preserving the Client assets.
