A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Annual Meeting & Legal Summit yesterday at the Daytona International Airport! We had a fantastic turnout and appreciate everyone who helped make the event such a success.

A special thank you to Judge C. Miller for administering the oath of office to our 2026 Board of Directors. We are grateful for your time and support of our organization.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Judge M. Orfinger, Judge A. Totten, Judge L. Blocker, Judge F. Talbot, Judge A. Soud, and Judge H. Maltz for participating in our Judicial Panel. Thank you for sharing your insight, experience, and advice with our members.

Finally, we want to extend our heartfelt congratulations and deepest gratitude to our outgoing President, Judge Hunter Morrill. Hunter's leadership, dedication, and enthusiasm have made an incredible impact on the YLD over the past year. She has devoted countless hours to growing our organization, creating meaningful programming, and fostering a welcoming environment for young attorneys throughout our community. While we are certainly going to miss her leadership within the YLD, we couldn't be happier to see her begin this exciting new chapter as Judge Hunter Morrill. Her appointment to the bench is a tremendous accomplishment and a testament to the integrity, professionalism, and service she has demonstrated throughout her career. We know she will serve our community with the same excellence and dedication she brought to the YLD.

Serving on the YLD Board is a wonderful opportunity for young lawyers to get involved in the local legal community, build meaningful relationships with other attorneys and members of the judiciary, and contribute to programs and events that support both the profession and the community. It is also a great way to gain leadership experience and strengthen your resume.

Tampa civil litigator and eight-year veteran member of The Florida Bar Board of Governors Paige Greenlee has become the President-Elect Designate of The Florida Bar.

“I’m excited, I’m proud of the campaign that I ran, and I am humbled by the support that I received across the state,” she said. “I know I have a lot of responsibility ahead, responsibility that comes with the confidence that members of the Bar have in me, and I don’t take that lightly.”

In her campaign, she stressed her 20 years of professional service, which included stints as president of the Bar’s Young Lawyers Division and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. A six-year member of the Executive Committee, Greenlee has chaired or co-chaired other key board committees, including Disciplinary Review, Communications, Technology, and Program Evaluation.

📢 Florida Attorneys - Your Vote Matters!
Did you know that less than 20% of Florida Bar members actually vote in Bar elections? That means a small fraction of us are shaping the leadership of our profession.

Voting for the next Florida Bar president-elect opens February 27, and ballots must be received before midnight (EST) on March 15.

This year’s qualified candidates are:
Paige Greenlee (Tampa)
Jeff Rynor (Miami Beach)

The candidate elected will be sworn in as president-elect at the Annual Florida Bar Convention in June and will assume office as president at the 2027 Convention.
