Loft vs. No Loft… which side are you on? 🤔

Is an upstairs loft actually useful, or a waste of space?

I was showing a client new construction townhomes here in the Orlando area recently, and we ran into a floorplan dilemma: same layout, but one option included an upstairs loft and other didn’t.

My client ended up choosing NO loft!

Personally, I love a good loft. It’s perfect for a kids’ playroom, a quiet home office, or a second movie area. BUT… it really comes down to how the rest of the floorplan flows.

Sometimes that extra square footage upstairs steals space from where you actually spend your time.
