A message from Attorney Bertha Burruezo, Esq. ➡️ What is my Why? ​Last Wednesday I attended St. Petersburg College's 26th Annual Donors & Scholars Luncheon and left with my heart full.​

Dr. Williams, SPC's President, said something that stopped me in my tracks: she wants this college to be a place where everyone belongs — where potential matters more than how you look on paper.​

That vision isn't abstract to me. I wouldn't be standing where I am today if someone hadn't believed in me 35 years ago, the way Dr. Williams still believes in her students. That belief changed the entire trajectory of my life.​

So instead of becoming another sad statistic, I became Vice Chair of the SPC Foundation Board… honored to carry forward the very mission that once carried me.​

Giving back isn't something I do. It's who I am. 💙​
