The Florida Supreme Court adopted a new rule last week regarding Artificial Intelligence (AI). Rule 2.515(d)(2)(D) provides that a person signing a document that is filed with a court is representing that the cases cited in the document “exist and are accurately cited.” Interestingly, however, the rule does not require a separate written statement with regard to AI. It simply makes the representation about accurate cases one of the now-four things that you are representing when signing a document to be filed. The new rule goes into effect on June 15, 2026.
