Happy 250th Birthday, America! Before the fireworks, celebrate safely.
Almost 13,000 people ended up in the ER last year because of fireworks.
That number can be much lower this year by spreading awareness.
The Fourth is right around the corner, so here’s a gentle reminder. We love fireworks as much as anyone, but they can turn dangerous fast, especially with kids and large crowds around.
Quick fact: sparklers burn at around 2,000 degrees. That’s hot enough to melt some metals.
Some things to keep in mind this weekend:
Keep kids away, farther than you think.
Keep water or a hose nearby, just in case.
If a firework doesn’t go off, don’t relight it.
And, it’s best to leave the big shows to the professionals.
Be safe this weekend, happy fourth from our team at Dellecker Wilson King McKenna Ruffier & Sos!
