Incredibly surprised and humbled to receive the Cook County Bar Association Presidential Award for going “above and beyond” in service to the Bar. I had no idea I was even being considered! It has been such an incredibly trying year for me personally, but I’m ever grateful for the friendship and mentorship I receive from my bar participation. It has been a true honor and a pleasure to serve.

I remember the first time I went to church after I got divorced (the first time 😬🤦🏾‍♀️, I put my wedding ring back on. I was so ashamed and scared for anyone to know how “flawed” I was. And then for years I would dread Easter, the one Sunday of the year where the “perfect” families with their perfect lives and perfect Easter clothes would fill up the church. Fast forward to today and when I think of His goodness and all He’s done for me, I could shout it from the rooftops... and not for nuthin’ I think our little family is perfect too! ❤️
