Once the DACA -Deferred Action application is approved, you will need to go the the Social Security office to apply for a social security number. With your new SS number and your work permit, you then go apply for a California Identification card or a California Drivers License. The work permit expires in two years. When your permit expires, your CDL expires. You will need to renew for another two years
