Hey FB friends!
Check out my brother's new page, The Firehouse Skillet!
My brother Joe spent 30 years as a firefighter/paramedic with the local fire department. When the crew discovered he could cook, they were all too willing to let him take on that responsibility!
Now, cooking at a firehouse wasn't always easy. Imagine planning a meal, going grocery shopping, getting everything prepped, and finally starting to cook, only to have the alarm go off! Everything had to be turned off while they headed out on a call. Sometimes they'd return an hour or two later and have to pick up right where they left off.
But Joe loved it. Cooking was his thing.
Now, anyone who knows the hierarchy in my family knows that Joe NEVER did dishes. He was always the self-appointed "Supervisor." π
Wouldn't you know it, he managed to carry that tradition through 30 years in the fire department!
He cooked, and everyone else on shift did the dishes.
Somehow, he turned avoiding dishes into a 30-year career perk! π
Anyway, Joe has decided to share his love of cooking with everyone through his new food blog, The Firehouse Skillet.
He's just getting started, so there are only a handful of recipes on the website right now, but he's constantly cooking, creating, and adding more.
And trust me, I KNOW he's working on it because he texts me EVERY SINGLE DAY with new recipes, pictures, ideas, and updates.
Like I don't have a life!
Okay, I don't, but still... LOL!
So I'm asking my FB friends and family to help him get this off the ground.
Please give his page, The Firehouse Skillet, a follow!
Then check out his website:

Maybe try a recipe or two and let him know what you think. Leave him a comment, share a recipe, or tell him what you'd like to see him cook next.
He's spent 30 years feeding hungry firefighters. Now he's sharing those recipes and his love of cooking with the rest of us.
And apparently, the man has figured out how to go his entire life without washing a dish! Because whether I'm visiting for the holidays, a family get-together, or just hanging out, guess who's STILL doing the dishes?
Yep. Me. Some things never change! π
Anyway, go ahead and give him a like and a follow.
