$1.2 Million in Damages Awarded Against Amazon. After almost three years of fighting for recognition of the abuse he suffered as an Amazon employee, yesterday a San Bernardino Superior Court jury awarded Michael Kopp $1.2 million in damages. Michael, who suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder, was mocked and belittled by multiple colleagues over a four year tenure at the Ontario-2 warehouse. The jury found that Amazon intentionally inflicted emotional distress in perpetrating and allowing the conduct to occur. Michael will now move on and try his harassment claim against Amazon. Michael was represented by Raymond Babaian of Valiant Law and John Barber of Elite Trial Group law firm.
