Got the good news today that a client I assisted with preparing an Asylum Application and accompanied to his interview was APPROVED ✊🏼 He fled Mexico when he was 17 years old due to the persecution he faced for being gay. By his diligence and hard work, he has slowly worked himself up from dishwasher to cook at a fine dining restaurant in Beverly Hills. He was offered a position as a Soux Chef but had to turn in down because of his lack of status. Now, not only can he accept the promotion, but become a Legal Permanent Resident in one year and eventually become a U.S. Citizen 🏳️‍🌈🇺🇸

Just received notice that an Asylum case I prepared 3 years ago, and translated at the interview for 2 weeks ago, was APPROVED!! I love being able to help clients every step of the way! ✊🏼🗽

Back at it, translating at another Asylum Interview for a case I prepared in 2014. I love catching up with my clients after not seeing them for so long. It's rewarding to be able to assist them every step of the way towards obtaining legal status 🗽

I always look forward to working on Asylum cases from different countries. Today I met with a gay client from China who witnessed his friend be tortured. It amazes me what hardships people endure and inspires me to work even harder to help them stay here in the United States where they can be safe and free 🗽

Back at the Asylum Office to translate for an interview, this time for a case that had been poorly prepared by another Attorney. So glad we had the chance to prepare an amendment and give the case the time and attention it deserved! Quality > Quantity

It was honor to work on this case for such a wonderful family. Their little girl is determined to one day become an attorney to fight to protect the undocumented. ✊🏼

We applied for cancellation of removal for our clients after they were placed in removal proceedings in Los Angeles, California. We argued that their USC child would suffer exceptional and extremely unusual hardship if her parents were deported because of her medical condition. After a hearing on the case the Immigration Judge granted cancellation of removal. Now the family is together and happy in the USA
