This type of ruling has been dreaded for years now. Unfortunately, same-sex couples need to complete an adoption to formalize and legally protect their parental rights - even though it’s ridiculous for parents to have to adopt their own children.
I've helped dozens of couples with adoption and I'll gladly keep doing it as long as it's necessary and until the law catches up.
If you're a same-sex couple with children, having both parents on the birth certificate may not be enough to legally protect your parental rights.

The boy’s biological mother and s***m donor, who are now dating, are the child’s “legal parents,” an Oklahoma district judge ruled.

Heartbreaking 💔

Six years after Pulse, another senseless and heartbreaking shooting has rocked an nightclub. Late Saturday night (November 19), just before midnight, local authorities of Colorado Springs, CO received numerous 911 calls from , an LGBTQ nightclub where a gunman had opened fire. At least five people were killed with an additional 18 injured in the shooting.
In a statement, Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, who is openly gay, called the attack "horrific, sickening, and devastating." Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers said a news conference is scheduled for Sunday morning, which will be live-streamed on the CSPD page. This story is developing.
