For those in Lincoln or who do business in Lincoln...this week's Market Insight Report and Analysis and the final focus week on the Lincoln Commercial market until April. Next week we will pick up a different area in Nebraska.

Across every category of Retail: Malls, the Centers (Mall, Strip, and Neighborhood), and General Retail...absorption remains high with low vacancy. The Far South submarket continues to outpace the other areas of Lincoln.

Here's a snippet of some of the analysis.

"Retail rents in the Lincoln Market were rising at a 1.0% annual rate during the first quarter of 2022, and have posted an average annual gain of 0.7% over the past three years. In addition to 520,000 SF that has delivered over the past three years (a cumulative inventory expansion of 2.4%), there is 21,000 SF currently underway, representing a fractional expansion of the existing inventory. Vacancies were basically in line with the 10-year average as of 2022Q1, but trended slightly down over the past four quarters"

In addition to 590,000 SF that has delivered over the past three years (a cumulative inventory expansion of 2.2%), there is 550,000 SFcurrently underway. Vacancies were basically in line with the 10-year average as of 2022Q1, and were littlechanged over the past four quarters."
