For 38 years, the He Sapa Wacipi has brought people together through the beautiful sounds of the drum, the movement of the dancers, the strength of our traditions, and the joy of gathering as one community.

Come join us as we celebrate our people, honor our elders and ancestors, welcome our youth, and share the beauty of our culture with all who join us.

On Orange Shirt Day, we remember the children who were taken from their families, communities, languages, cultures, and ways of life. We honor those who never made it home, and we stand with Survivors whose strength continues to carry truth forward.

This day is more than wearing orange. It is about remembering, listening, learning, and taking action. It is about confronting the truth of residential schools and recognizing the lasting impacts felt by Indigenous families and communities today.

We remember the children.
We honor the Survivors.
We uplift our Elders.
We protect our languages and cultures.
And we continue to carry our peoples forward.

Say hello to our newest attorney, Celene Olguin!

Celene brings a strong background in tribal governance, economic development, and federal Indian law. Her experience includes drafting tribal codes and legislation, developing ISDEAA contracts, and working on economic development initiatives, including a Tribal-State cannabis compact.

A 2025 graduate of the University of Colorado Law School, Celene has been committed to serving Native communities since law school. We’re excited to have her bring that commitment and experience to Cedar Tree Native Law!

We’re saying goodbye to Ayva Swift as our summer intern, but thankfully, it’s not goodbye for good! As her summer internship comes to an end, we’re excited to welcome her into a new role as a Legal Intern with Cedar Tree Native Law.
Ayva is an honors pre-law student at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, majoring in Philosophy with minors in Sustainability and Native American Studies. She is Vice President of the UNO Pre-Law society, Director of Integrity for the UNO Student Government, an AmeriCorps member, and Vice President of Administration for Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.
As she continues her education and works toward a career in law, we’re proud to have Ayva continue growing her skills and experience with our team. We can’t wait to see where her journey takes her! 🌱⚖️
