The Omaha Public Power District announced new renewable energy agreements that will support the region’s growing energy needs, including the development of the 250-megawatt Burt County Solar project in eastern Nebraska. Expected to begin service in 2029, the project will generate enough electricity to power approximately 50,000 homes.

Our Energy and Infrastructure attorneys provided legal counsel to Sandhills Energy regarding the permitting, financing and power purchase agreement negotiation for the Burt County Solar project.
