Small business owners in Manzanita need help and the local non-profit FULCRUM COMMUNITY RESOURCES is willing to step in since the SBA funds have run out and never reached any of the small businesses in Manzanita. Do what you can to help our small businesses in Manzanita. For those visitors who have visited our town for so many years, we would appreciate whatever help you can provide. Thanks, Sarah

Well this is a better approach than the one Councilman Jones was proposing earlier, which made absolutely no sense at all. His original idea was to propose a better written ordinance than this petition that would be easier to defend (albeit still unconstitutional) and supposedly less expensive to defend. This approach hits the issue head on, is the petition being proposed constitutional and should it be put on the ballot. What I never hear from the proponents of this petition is how this petition is consistent with the state constitution or is that not important to them?

The Olympia City Council has agreed to challenge a proposed initiative that would create the first income tax in Washington.
