There is someone out there who selected “Head of Household” on this form . Claimed 3 dependents so they put $6,600 by line 3(a)

Thinking they will be fine because that’s what they file when tax season comes.

But what they don’t know is;

When someone selects Head of Household and enters 3 dependents, the payroll system assumes:
• They will qualify for the Child Tax Credit
• They will have a large tax reduction
• They may owe very little federal income tax

So the employer withholds less… sometimes almost nothing. 🙅🏻‍♀️

Now for this reason? I recommend that although you file HOH during tax season , to file as single on that W4 form .

(If you expect your AGI to be high to the point you will owe)

Although that isn’t always the best blanket advice, it can be a simple safe fix in some situations.

On the W-4, “Single” is basically a withholding setting, not a legal filing election.

Also, Going exempt for six months and then trying to “fix it” the other six months is one of the poorest tax strategies out here.

Don’t always believe what you hear 🚫

When you claim exempt on your W-4, your job is basically withholding no federal income tax. 🤦🏻‍♀️

So for those months, you’re paying:

➡️ nothing toward your tax bill

But guess what?

Your tax bill is still building up ALL year long.

🛑It's essential to remember that your EIC or CTC refund amount is not the only factor!

There are new credits available for Tax Year 2025 💸

If you purchased a vehicle 🚘🛻 in 2025, be sure to inform your tax preparer👩🏼‍💻

The vehicle must be a 2025 or 2026 Year Model and manufactured in the US 🇺🇸
You will need your VIN # and the amount of interest paid.

🚨 2026 TAX SEASON — IMPORTANT DATES YOU NEED TO KNOW! 🚨

Now moving forward✨— SELF EMPLOYED Filers are welcome! But if you worked a job, Please wait for your W2, ALL INCOME MUST BE REPORTED!!

✨ January 26, 2026 — Expected IRS Opening Date (they officially start accepting returns)

✨ February 2, 2026 — Deadline for employers to send W-2s (most people see them before then!)

⏳ Average Refund Processing: About 21 days for early filers, usually sooner.

📅 February 23-25, 2026— First big round of refund deposits expected.

‼️For those filers who fall under the PATH ACT, the IRS is not legally allowed to release your refund until AFTER February 15th.

‼️April 15, 2026 DEADLINE TO FILE 2025 taxes, you may qualify for an extension, just ask me how!

💵Most refunds will be somewhat higher this year due to the increase in credits. We are expecting to see a significant increase in the amount on your returns this year! 💸💰🤑
