Wow, where do I start... It's October 31, had a reverse mortgage. The Signer was over 80 years old, very hard of hearing and used a magnifying glass with his glasses. Everyone knows a reverse mortgage is over 250 pages in most cases. The signer's signature spaces weren't very large, however, his signature was. In some areas, He spelled his name out with his middle initial other times, not. Despite my efforts of trying to show him and tell him to stay consistent... BUT THE DOCUMENTS WEREN'T CONSISTANT!!!! The poor signer, had to also try and write his wife's name who was not there, but he had guardianship over her and he had to write her full name, her aka, plus two different types of verbiage. He was so confused about what to write, so I WROTE it on a piece of paper what he was suppose to write in each of those areas. He was so upset that he had so many signatures to repeatedly have to write, he began to cuss me out. I remain patient. LONG STORY, SHORT. Title denied everything, when I talked to both signing services I was told we would have to re-sign, redraw... I get it.. Checked the portal and they had wiped my $150.00 fee from the platform, wrote cancelled, and didn't bother to tell me anything. I feel bad for the signer, because I am about the most patient person I know. For him to have to go through that again, is sad. I believe my vent is, I know I'm a good notary/signing agent and for signing services to treat notaries as if anything that happens, is our fault, never theirs is "urky". (As my grand-daughter would say) They don't have a problem taking your fee or deducting it, as if it's impossible for them to be at fault. I had one company to admit it was their fault and they still deducted my fee. What In The World???? They talk to you or treat you sometimes as if we NEED them. I've gotten several calls from law offices, and title companies from other sights and advertisements, not signing services. Looks like that company will never have to be concerned with working with me anymore.. Thank you for letting me vent. Happy Signing!!!!
