There was a massive data breach in Oklahoma in the past week. Integris Health Systems sensitive data was illegally accessed, and over 2 million records were stolen. The theft came to light on December 24 when the data thieves sent an email directing people to a Tor extortion site stating:
"We give you the opportunity to remove your personal data from our databases before we sell the entire database to data brokers on Jan 5 2024." (sic)
The emails include a link to a Tor extortion site that currently lists the stolen data for approximately 4,674,000 people, including their names, Social Security Numbers, dates of birth, and information about hospital visits. (sic)
People need to take action to protect themselves from future situations like this. The crime of Identity Theft will only get worse going forward into the future.
ID Shield is an industry leader in the identity restoration business because if a covered member suffers an identity theft there is a 3-million-dollar policy guaranteeing that a licensed private investigator will do what it takes for as long as it takes to restore the member's identity to as close as possible to how it was before the theft.
In addition, a covered member gets Trend Micro Maximum Security, which protects multi-devices from ransomware, viruses, dangerous websites, and identity thieves. Also, included is VPN Proxy One which protects devices when logging on to a public wireless network, a password manager that creates and stores unique encrypted passwords, and credit score monitoring.
Don't wait to be a victim of identity theft. Get yourself protected today!
Integris Health patients in Oklahoma are receiving blackmail emails stating that their data was stolen in a cyberattack on the healthcare network, and if they did not pay an extortion demand, the data would be sold to other threat actors.
