In a jury trial, closing arguments are critically important because they serve as the final, persuasive takeaway that summarizes evidence, restates the theory of the case, and leaves a lasting impression with the jurors. Takura was one of the faculty members for the Michigan Indigent Defense Commission’s most recent training on closing arguments. Not surprisingly, his faculty demonstration left a lasting impression on the participants. Here’s to more two-word verdicts!
