Equitable Notary Inc. Mobile & Remote Online Notarization Service Disclosure
Deposit Requirement:
For both mobile notary services and remote online notarization (RON) services, a 50% nonrefundable deposit of the total service cost is required. This deposit covers administrative and preparatory costs and secures the requested service.
Important – Travel Time (Mobile Services) & Appointment Confirmation:
For mobile notary services, submitting a deposit does not guarantee a confirmed appointment. The travel time fee must be negotiated and agreed upon electronically (via text or email) before the deposit is made. Both parties must mutually agree on travel time, fees, and appointment details before the notary can confirm the booking. No exceptions will be made.
• Travel Time Requirement: Please allow for a minimum of 1.5 to 2 hours travel time after confirmation of the appointment agreement.
• Deposit Timing: The nonrefundable deposit must be received within two hours of the scheduled appointment time unless otherwise negotiated in writing.
For remote online notarization services, the appointment time and service details must also be confirmed electronically (via text or email) prior to making the deposit. Both the client and the notary must agree on a mutually convenient time for the online session.
Nonrefundable Deposit:
All deposits are nonrefundable, regardless of whether the service is for mobile notary or remote online notarization. Please do not send a deposit without first receiving written confirmation of the appointment time from the notary. If a deposit is made without prior agreement on the appointment time, the notary reserves the right to decline the service, and the deposit will remain nonrefundable.
