Another excellent meeting for the OABA today!

OABA hosted a candidate forum for the three candidates running for the 244th Judicial District Judge seat in the Republican primary on March 1st. Great fellowship, and most of all, good people. It was great to see everyone in attendance.

We are planning to host a larger meeting in the coming months for our members to close out the year for the Bar. Stay tuned!

Great meeting today! The topic of the meeting was “Getting to know your judges.” We were honored to host a panel discussion with Judge Leah Robertson of the 385th District Court (Midland), Judge David Rogers of the 142nd District Court (Midland), Judge John Shrode of the 358th District Court (Ector), and Judge Justin Low of the 161st District Court (Ector). We had 35 attorneys, staff, and other judges in attendance! Stay tuned for additional details regarding our upcoming November meeting.

That’s a wrap folks! Great meeting to end the 2020-2021 Bar year. Despite challenging circumstances, we were still able to have meetings throughout the year (providing CLE credit hours to our members). U.S. Magistrate Judge Ron Griffin gave a great presentation concerning pending local rule changes for the Western District of Texas. Thanks judge and thanks to all members who made it to the meeting!
