In Delaware, you may be entitled to mileage reimbursement for every round trip connected to your work-injury treatment, including doctor visits, physical therapy, chiropractic appointments, hospital care, and pharmacy trips. The current workers’ comp mileage rate is 50 cents per mile. 🚗

You may also have a claim for disfigurement. If your injury or treatment caused a serious, permanent visible change to your appearance, such as a scar, burn, or amputation, you could be entitled to additional compensation. The law allows awards of up to 150 weeks, depending on the severity and location of the disfigurement.

Keep records of every medical trip, save your appointment information, and do not assume that the insurance company will tell you every benefit you may be owed.
