And to top off an already great week for the I was pleased to join the Rutgers Newark Law School alumni association as they honored Diana Manning as well as many other outstanding individuals. Diana is a superstar and for a kid who thought law school was a stepping stone to another career she has certainly made her mark on the New Jersey Legal landscape! Congratulations!

The New Jersey State Bar Association is now accepting nominations for two awards that will be presented during the Diversity Luncheon at the 2024 NJSBA Annual Meeting and Convention in Atlantic City on May 16.

The awards recognize those have who inspired others to pursue careers in the law and have spearheaded inclusion for women and minority lawyers.

Please join the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) for our annual bowling event at Bowlero North Brunswick for a night of bowling, fierce competition, networking, food and unlimited drinks and much more!

Thursday, February 8 | 7 - 9:30 p.m.

This event is open to NJSBA members and other legal professional non-members (attorneys, Judges, paralegals, legal secretaries, law students).

-Pre-registration for this event is required as there will be no on-site registration available.
-Each person must register individually as there is no group registration available.
-There is a $40 registration fee for each player.
-Teams of 3-5 players are encouraged.
-If you already have a team, please encourage all to register.

After you register you will be contacted by an NJSBA staff member, a few days prior to the event, to obtain your team’s name, team captain and player roster. If you have no team to play on, don’t worry, we will assign you one.

Wrapping up a strong day in the ABA House of Delegates. US Attorney General Merrick Garland gave a strong speech affirming the rule of law and the promise of prosecution of war crimes after the conflict in Ukraine concludes. Also staying on top of the latest trends and happenings in the law around our great country. Congratulations to Mary Smith as new president of the ABA and thank you to Deborah Enix Ross as she concludes a great year as president
