Remembering Dian Scott
DIAN SCOTT has departed from this earthly life, but her beautiful spirit lives on in our hearts and in the presence of the Lord.
Dear Fellowship Family,
With hearts filled with bittersweet emotions — grief and joy intertwined — we announce the passing of our dear sister, Dian Scott. Dian is now rejoicing in Heaven with Jesus and reunited with her beloved family and loved ones who have gone before her.
What a beautiful and extraordinary life Dian lived — a life completely devoted to Christian servanthood. Her life itself was ministry unto the Lord and to all those blessed to know her.
As a missionary in the jungles of Panama, Dian faithfully served with Wycliffe Bible Translators, helping write and translate the Word of God into native languages so others could know the love and truth of Jesus Christ.
Upon returning to the United States, Dian served for seven years alongside Evangelist Kathryn Kuhlman as her personal assistant, faithfully supporting one of the great healing ministries of her generation. Following Kathryn’s homegoing, Dian was invited to serve for more than nine years as assistant to Demos Shakarian, founder of Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International.
Dian later came alongside Ronny Svenhard, BMF USA Chairman, faithfully assisting him for years, other fellowship officers, and many fellowship leaders throughout the country. As of last week Dian was actively serving her much loved BMF USA ministry from her home and on May 22nd she will be celebrating her 90th birthday with Jesus. To many, Dian became known as a spiritual mother, and to others, a beloved big sister because of her kind, generous, and giving heart.
Beyond her international ministry work, Dian also faithfully served within her local community through many forms of ministry and acts of compassion, always reflecting the love of Christ wherever she went.
Dian’s legacy is one of humility, faithfulness, love, and unwavering devotion to Jesus. She touched countless lives around the world, and her influence will continue for generations to come.
Though our hearts mourn her absence, we rejoice knowing that she has heard the words:
“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Please keep Dian’s family and all who loved her in your prayers during this time.
With love and gratitude for a life so beautifully lived
