Tangible personal property (FF&E) returns are due April 1st of each year. It's important to note that Florida is a self-reporting state, meaning the taxpayer is responsible for filing the return timely. The penalties for late filing are 5% per month, up to 25%. Additionally, you lose the right to appeal the county's assessment if you do not file a return.
