Franchise Fees
β€’ Committee discussed franchise fees related to Mediacom Cable
β€’ City Attorney Lee Wilson explained that cable franchises are regulated differently than other franchise agreements
β€’ Wilson noted the franchise is non-exclusive and maintains the terms and conditions of the existing cable franchise agreement
β€’ Discussion emphasized that the franchise ensures residents have access to cable services if they choose to utilize them
β€’ Wilson also noted that cable franchises are highly regulated at the federal level
β€’ Committee voted to send the item to City Council for consideration

β€’ Committee discussed the purpose of the Accounting Support Specialist job description
β€’ The employee currently serving in the position updated the job description to better reflect the duties and responsibilities being performed
