This image is of a teenage Coleman Alderson Hatfield (1889–1970), the son of Cap and Nan Hatfield and the grandson of William Anderson "Devil Anse" and Levicy Hatfield if the Hatfields and McCoy’s fame.
He was a practicing attorney and community leader in Logan County, WV. He was legally blind, but this never hindered his career or varied interests. He also had an eidetic memory—sometimes called a photographic memory. He memorized 90-percent of the Holy Scriptures, and had assigned to memory most of his extensive law library, including content, page numbers, and where the books were located in his extensive bookshelves.
He was an amazing individual.
