Qué hacer si es detenido por ICE
***Tiene derecho a guardar silencio.
***No firme nada sin hablar primero con un abogado.
***Tiene derecho a hablar con un abogado; solicite a ICE una lista de grupos de asistencia legal gratuita o de bajo costo. Su consulado también puede ayudarle a encontrar un abogado.
***Derecho a llamadas y visitas: Puede llamar y recibir visitas de su abogado, de su consulado y de sus familiares.
***Obtenga su Número A (A #) y compártalo con su familia; este es un número de identificación único de 9 dígitos asignado por las autoridades de inmigración.
***Derecho a solicitar fianza: Es posible que usted sea elegible para obtener la libertad bajo fianza, lo cual le permite ser liberado mientras su caso está pendiente. Si ICE no fija una fianza o establece un monto muy elevado, usted puede solicitar una audiencia de fianza ante un juez. Entre los documentos útiles se incluyen los recibos de nómina, los contratos de arrendamiento y las cartas de apoyo.

What to Do if You are Detained by ICE
***You have the Right to Remain Silent
***Do not sign anything without speaking to an attorney first
***You have the right to speak to a lawyer – Ask ICE for a list of free or low-cost legal aid groups. Your consulate may also help you find a lawyer.
***Right to Calls & Visits: You can call and receive visits from your lawyer, consulate, and family.
***Get your A-Number (A #) and share it with your family – This is a unique 9-digit identification number assigned by immigration authorities.
***Right to Request Bond: You may be eligible for bond, which allows you to be released while your case is pending. If ICE sets no bond or a high amount, you can request a bond hearing with a judge. Helpful documents include pay stubs, lease agreements, and support letters.
***Bond Assistance: If you cannot afford bond, contact a bond fund:

The Jonathan Olom Award serves as a memorial to the remarkable Colorado defense attorney Jonathan Olom. Intended to perpetuate his example and encourage others to follow the principles he lived and practiced, the Jonathan Olom Award is presented annually to an outstanding attorney of the criminal defense community based on their activities and accomplishments over the previous year.

"Two months to the day after he was detained by Immigration Customs and Enforcement, Summer of Peril bassist Marcos Flores was released on February 23.

According to Flores’s lawyer, Kristi Englekirk, he was released from the Aurora ICE Detention Facility and back home by 7 p.m. that night."

After two months in custody at Aurora's detention center, Marcos Flores was released Monday.
