Matthew Fortin

A native of The County, Matthew was raised in Presque Isle and graduated from high school there. He earned a BS in Elementary Education from the University of Maine in 2006. After college, Matthew taught elementary school in Westbrook for thirteen years before making the decision to pursue a legal education.

After his first year of law school, Matthew interned with Attorney Day for nine months. Now a graduate of the University of Maine School of Law with a JD, Matthew has joined the firm and will work as a paralegal until passing the bar.

Matthew lives in Yarmouth with his wife and two children and is a proud member of the Passamaquoddy Tribe. He enjoys getting onto a golf course whenever he has a chance.

Meet Robin, our amazing Administrative Assistant. If you call the office, chances are you’ve already talked with her.

Robin joined our team in June of 2021 after 21 years with a local engineering firm. While new to law, Robin brings extensive administrative assistant experience, along with personable service and a friendly attitude.

In her spare time, Robin enjoys camping, hiking, kayaking, and adventuring out west. She loves spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

If you know a senior who may benefit (65 years old, Maine resident, has owned a Maine homestead for at least ten years, and eligible for a homestead exemption on that property), please let them know to apply before December 1, 2022!

As we head into this long Memorial Day Weekend, we pause and remember the sacrifices of all those who gave their lives in active military service, as well as those who have since passed.
