On October 17, 2025, a Duval County jury unanimously found Cory Hall not guilty on second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder stemming from the 2021 Hyatt Regency Jacksonville shooting. Mr. Hall, who surrendered himself in 2021, was released Friday evening—a free man at last.

This was a justified shooting in self defense after Cory’s trip to the bathroom at a restaurant party where he got jacked for his jewelry. NOT GUILTY of murder and NOT GUILTY of attempted murder.
