UA Pulaski Tech offers summer camps for high school students to learn about critical jobs in HVAC, Welding, Robotics and other in demand jobs. And a path to a great income! We have sponsored scholarships for these camps three years in a row. One of the attendees during the first year just graduated welding school and is making a SIX figure salary welding on important infrastructure projects! We had a great time taking out some friends on the Arkansas river last night, including former Arkansas Bar Association president, Margaret Dobson. It was a perfect evening to be on the water.

The Arkansas Review Board for Historic Properties will meet tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. at the Arkansas Heritage headquarters in Little Rock. I am honored to be a part of this board, as preserving history is of great importance to me. We will be reviewing 15 properties, with the St. Paul Methodist Church Cemetery in Ozan holding particular significance to me because I grew up nearby in Columbus. We will determine which properties will go on the Arkansas Register and which ones should be considered to be on the National Register. I am always amazed at the level of detailed work the staff of professionals put into the material we review. We are fortunate to have such a great staff of dedicated historians working at the Department of Heritage. This meeting is open to the public, and all who wish to attend are welcome.

We at Jackson Law Firm are delighted to donate this dollhouse and other items to the children's room at the Pulaski County Courthouse. We understand that visiting the courthouse can be a stressful time for families, especially for children. Our hope is that these donations will provide some comfort and distraction during these difficult moments. Thank you to Terri Hollingsworth and Judge Sean Johnson for making this possible. We appreciate the important work you do every day.

Mama's Unidas is an organization that empowers and provides numerous opportunities to incredibly gifted students in our community. This event could not have happened without the support of Steve Colley, who provides excellent college guidance on the path to higher education and Kathleen Joiner, who volunteered her time and expertise to provide etiquette training and much more! Lisa Ferrell and Jim Jackson were honored to donate and support this event, as well as Trio's, who graciously contributed and hosted as well. I’m attending the National Conference of Bar Examiners meeting in Chicago. We are learning about the proposed Next Gen Bar Exam. There is a great group of lawyers from the Arkansas Bar attending and Justice Karen Baker of the Supreme Court.

I am attending the annual “feast with the beasts” fundraiser at Turpentine Creek wildlife refuge in Eureka Springs. This nonprofit does an outstanding job taking care of abused animals.
