It’s official! I have registered to run for re-election for North Las Vegas Justice Court, Department 1. This year’s primary Election Day is June 11, 2024, and the general election will be held on November 5, 2024.

Many judicial seats will be contested in 2020, and many voters have no idea how to choose between judicial candidates. The Las Vegas Review Journal has just released the “Judging the Judges” series of articles and stories. While I am not up for re-election this cycle, and have no plans to run for one for these contested seats, I am very happy to say that I received a positive retention rating!

I had the honor of swearing in the 15 members of the Asian-American Pacific Islanders Community Commission last Wednesday in the Clark County Commission chambers. I have met many of these leaders over the years, but never all in the same place. They will be a great asset not only to the Las Vegas Asian community, but the community at large.

Visited by the NLVPD Police Explorers today. These young officers-to-be came to observe court, and to see firsthand the vital role played by law enforcement in the criminal justice system.
