Excited to announce that I will be moving my law office, Amend Law Firm, PLLC, in the next couple of weeks to 124 E. Main Street here in Norman! The new location will be open effective 4/1/25. The location of the office is walking distance to the Cleveland County Courthouse and will allow us to better serve clients charged with crimes in Cleveland County. I am excited about this move and cannot wait to show the office when it all comes together.

I have been practicing for over 11 years and Amend Law Firm has been open for business since October 1, 2017. The last 8 years I have specialized in criminal defense. Since 2019 I have tried 20 cases to verdict before Judges and Juries. I have tried drug trafficking cases, white colar crimes, shootings, stabbings, rapes and murders . My office is equipped to handle simple misdemeanors including domestic and DUI’s, felonies as well as serious felonies where a persons liberty for the rest of their life is on the line.

This morning I was able to negotiate a drug trafficking case down to simple possession in Pottawatomie County. I work hard to defend each of my clients and can get the right result for you.

Amend Law Firm was able to successfully plea a client into drug court in Oklahoma County. My client had several felony convictions and had previously been to prison and is not probation eligible. Through persistence and through the fact that my client had been clean and sober for almost a year at the time I took the case, I was able to convince the ADA to have her evaluated for Drug Court. In my experience it takes a fighter to get this kind of result for a client. I am not ever afraid to fight for my clients. If you are charged with a crime call me!

The Cleveland County Courthouse recently implemented stringent COVID-19 precautions to mitigate the spread of the virus while also being able to continue hearings.

Today I was paid the highest complement I have received in my legal career. The last two days I and my trial team have been trying a felony criminal case. The Judge, when he finished rendering his verdict, looked at myself and my trial team and stated that in his 50+ years of practice he has never seen a defense team work as hard as we had. The district attorney’s office paid the same compliment on how hard we worked in this case. Some of the facts in this case were difficult to overcome. The result of this trial was not what I wanted. But my takeaway is that it takes courage to fight tough cases. I fought tooth and nail and did not back down. I promise this: when there is a fight in this criminal defense system I will fight it and will not back down, I didn’t stop fighting these last few days and will continue to fight for all my clients. I want to thank my defense team Valour Investigations - David Ballard and Sara Thomas for their hard work, I could not have presented the case I did without their hard work. An update: the firm is still open and operating even given COVID-19, and the impending Shelter in Place order from Norman Mayor Clark, beginning tonight at 11:59PM. I am working remotely from my home, but what is most important is that I am continuing to fight for criminal defendants in this state. Know this, the DAs are continuing to work these cases but so am I. Most importantly know that I am still continuing to take on new cases and will be happy to continue to provide free initial consultations for new clients. These can be done by phone or Skype. Amend Law Firm will be moving it’s offices to 2845 Broce Drive, Norman OK 73072 on May 15, 2019. The firm has only been in business for 18 months but continues to grow and fight and defend criminals in the State of Oklahoma. Amend Law Firm will be associating with Ryan Pitts and Kelly Lynn and has formed the Pitts, Amend, & Lynn Law Group. Mr. Amend is excited about the growth potential of this association of law firms and will continue his focus on defending criminals and getting them the real help they need as he has done for the last 18 months. Mr. Pitts has built his reputation primarily with his focus on title work, foreclosures, quiet titles and general civil litigation in Holdenville, OK.
