Morring Law and the Michael Vick-Victory Foundation joined forces to purchase more than 60 pairs of sneakers for boys and girls preparing to return to school.

Renaissance Counseling Services led this initiative in partnership with Morring Law and the Vick-Victory Foundation, with NRHA also supporting this meaningful effort.

The sneakers will be distributed to local children on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, helping ensure they return to school with confidence!

There are people in our community who quietly and consistently do the work that changes lives, and today I want to take a moment to recognize two of them.

A special thank you to LaSonya Greene and Renaissance Counseling for the incredible impact they continue to make. The work of supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges is not always easy, but it is essential. Their commitment to healing, empowerment, and creating safe spaces for our community does not go unnoticed.

I also want to acknowledge Mike Vick for continuing to pour into the community that helped shape him. Success can take people many places, but character is revealed when someone remembers where they came from and remains committed to giving back. Mike’s continued investment in our youth, families, and neighborhoods is a testament to the fact that true Virginians never forget their roots.

When community leaders, advocates, and organizations come together with a genuine desire to serve, lives are changed and futures are strengthened. Thank you for being examples of what it means to uplift others and make a lasting difference.

🚨 ATTENTION NEWPORT NEWS SHIPYARD WORKERS 🚨

Newport News Shipbuilding has reportedly implemented an immediate ban on personal cellphone use in an effort to improve workplace safety.

While safety is important, many workers are now asking important questions:

• How will emergencies be handled?
• What if your family needs to reach you?
• Will there be designated communication procedures?
• How could this impact reporting incidents or injuries on the job?

At Morring Law, we believe workers should stay informed about policies that may impact their day-to-day lives and workplace communication.

We encourage shipyard workers and their families to stay aware, ask questions, and understand how this change could affect them.
