The IRS has provided inflation adjustments for estate planning for 2023:
- The estate tax basic exclusion amount increased from $12.06 million to $12.92 million.
- The annual gift exclusion increased from $16,000 to $17,000.
- The threshold for top estates and trusts bracket increased from $13,451 to $14,451.

Now is the time to review your plan or get one in place!

IR-2022-182, October 18, 2022 — The Internal Revenue Service today announced the tax year 2023 annual inflation adjustments for more than 60 tax provisions, including the tax rate schedules and other tax changes. Revenue Procedure 2022-38 provides details about these annual adjustments.
