Meet our attorneys!

Mr. Hurst received his degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1976. He has practiced law in the East Tennessee area for more than 30 years. He is available to help with a variety of legal needs but specializes in bankruptcy law.

Mr. Hurst has served as Newport's city attorney since 2000. He is active in his church and community, and he volunteers as the Cocke County Middle School softball coach. Married with two grown children, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren as well as hunting and fishing.
