SWIMMING POOL CARD READERS:

After many years of cash-only transactions, we are pleased to announce that we now will be accepting cash AND card payments at the swimming pool, effective 5/30/26.

Please help us share the word on the new payment option.

We will be open this weekend, 5/30 and 5/31 from 11AM-7PM. Opening 7 days a week beginning 6/6.

The Friends of Newport Public Library book sale starts TODAY! Friends members can shop from 6 to 8 PM. You can join the Friends at the door if you are not already a member. We have TONS of books this time- way more than normal. And if you love history, THIS SALE IS FOR YOU! Opening for the public Thurs., Fri., and Sat from 10am to 6pm. Saturday is Bag Day- $5 per bag for the public, $3 per bag for Friends members. We supply the bags for that deal.

🍎 Butcher's Farm Market in Newport, Perry County, is closing after three decades, with the final day on April 25. Founded in the 1990s by Mark and Stacey Butcher, the market grew from a small shed to a 2,500-square-foot facility known for homemade goods and prepared foods.

The couple plans to slow down and make lifestyle changes, as they do not have children to pass the business to. They will continue to operate their family farm, focusing on turkey raising and crop production.🌾
