A driver’s license means more freedom and more responsibility.

During National Teen Driver Safety Week, we’re highlighting the importance of helping teens stay safe behind the wheel.
In 2024, crashes involving teen drivers ages 15–18 claimed 2,320 lives, including 752 teen drivers. Another 85,947 teen drivers were injured in traffic crashes.

These numbers represent real people, families, and futures. Let’s keep the conversation about safe driving going, not just this week, but every week.

Employee Spotlight: Meet Laura!
Say hello to Laura Tanner, who joined the Huffman & Huffman family in May 2026! Laura brings years of legal experience and a passion for helping others to our team.
Her favorite part of the job is making a positive difference during what can often be a difficult and stressful time in our clients’ lives. She also loves working alongside a great team and continuing to learn and grow in her role.
Before joining Huffman & Huffman, Laura spent three years as a Chapter 13 Trustee Bankruptcy Paralegal with the U.S. Trustee’s Office and five years as an asbestos litigation paralegal with Patten, Wornom, Hatten & Diamonstein.
A Little More About Laura
Outside of work, Laura enjoys cooking and traveling. Whether she’s trying a new recipe or exploring a new destination, she loves discovering something new!
A lifelong Hampton Roads local, Laura was born and raised in Hampton and graduated from Hampton High School and Christopher Newport University. She now calls Poquoson home.
