Andrews & Higgins founding partner, Anne Andrews, spoke with Anita Blanton of Fox 32 Chicago regarding the victims connected to the pilot involved in the fatal plane crash in Boone County, Illinois on February 14, 2026.

The pilot, Richard McClung, was a convicted s*x offender and was involved in multiple pending civil matters. Authorities are investigating allegations that the aircraft was intentionally flown into the residential neighborhood in Poplar Grove, resulting in his death.

Andrews & Higgins is honored to represent these survivors as they seek justice and courageously share their stories to raise awareness about the devastating impact of s*xual abuse.

New York State makes history with the Adult Survivors Act, a new law that creates a one-year lookback window for survivors of s*xual assault whose cases were previously time-bound by statutes of limitations.

Governor Hochul signed the Adult Survivors Act (S.66A/A.648A), creating a one-year lookback window for survivors of s*xual assault that occurred when they were over the age of 18 to sue their abusers regardless of when the abuse occurred.

Kimberly-Clark has issued a voluntary recall of U by Kotex® Sleek® Tampons, Regular Absorbency, which they sold throughout the United States and Canada. The recall was issued because of a quality-related defect that could impact the product’s performance upon removal.

Injuries reported range from infections, vaginal irritation, localized vaginal injury and other symptoms" due to the "quality-related defect." Tampon remnants could be associated with Toxic Shock Syndrome which is a life-threatening injury.

Consumers who experience vaginal injuries, (Toxic Shock Syndrome, infection, pain, bleeding, discomfort), vaginal irritation (itching or swelling), urogenital infections (bladder and/or vaginal bacterial and/or yeast infections), or other symptoms such as hot flashes, abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting following use of the impacted product should seek immediate medical attention.
