Did you know California’s beaches are actually getting wider overall?
Researchers analyzing four decades of satellite data found that the state’s beaches have gained more than 500 acres. In Southern California, about half of beaches have widened, while roughly a third have narrowed, including Capo Beach in Dana Point.
It’s a fascinating reminder that our coastline is constantly changing, and those shifts can have a real impact on the communities, homes, and lifestyles built around it.
